The International Cricket Council put four Bangladeshi women umpires to its official list for the first time, giving Bangladeshi women’s cricket an additional boost.

Bangladeshi women umpires ICC:
The four male Bangladeshi umpires Tanvir Ahmed, Sharfuddoula, Masudur Rahman, and Gazi Sohel will be on the International Cricket Council panel. The International Cricket Council panel consists of two male referees from Bangladesh.
Similarly this time as women umpires Shathira Jakir Jessy, Champa Chakma, Doly Rani Sarkar, Rokeya Sultana Chowdhury, and Supriya Rani were chosen for the ICC development panel, and Supriya Rani became a match referee on the panel.
At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today, Iftekhar Ahmed Mithu, the head of the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) umpires’ committee, made the statement while chatting with media.
For our game, and particularly for women’s cricket, it’s a significant accomplishment. Iftekhar stated, “They were given the opportunity because the International Cricket Council was impressed by their hard work over the past two years.”
